FAQ

BOARDING AND DAY CAMP

Q: What is required for my dog to board or come to day care?
A: Rabies, DHPP(distemper/parvo), Bordetella(given every 6 months) and current fecal (within last year) required to board. Must bring vet records. A capstar for flea prevention will be given to all dogs upon drop off. The charge is $4.00-4.50.

Q: Does my dog need to go through an evaluation to come to day care?
A: No, but not all dogs are comfortable at day care. Our number one priority is to make sure our campers are happy and healthy. If your dog does not do well in day care we will let you know and work with you to figure out a different plan.

Q: Can I tour your facility?
A: Potential customers can visit if they make an appointment. We do not want to get the dogs overly excited. If you make an appointment we can secure the dogs before you arrive.

Q: What happens if my dog becomes ill while in day camp or boarding?
A: In your pet's file we will keep a record of your dog’s veterinarian, your contact information, and your emergency contact. If we suspect illness or injury we will call you and your dog’s veterinarian to make sure your dog proper medical attention.

PET SITTING

Q: What does a pet sitter do?

A: A pet sitter comes to your home to take care of your pets while you are away. They provide food, water, medication, exercise and companionship to your pets while you are away.

Q: What happens at my initial consultation?
A: The consultation is for you to meet your sitter and for the sitter to meet the pets. Keys are exchanged at this time. The initial consultation is free of charge.

Q: Who keeps my key?
A: Your sitter will keep your key until your service period is over. Then the key can be returned or kept by Pampered Pet Sitting. If you have keyless entry we don't require a key, but prefer to have one if there is a power outage. You can hide a key for your sitter at your discretion.

Q: Are you insured or bonded?
A: Yes, we are both insured and bonded. All of our pet sitters are covered on our policies.

Q: Can I get updates on my pets while I am away?
A: Yes, just let us know your preferred method of contact and we will update you.

Q: Do you mind if my neighbor stops in to check on my pet?
A: For pet and home safety we prefer not to have anyone else stop by to check on your pet. Exceptions can be made for immediate family members. We prefer if a relative will be stopping by some sort of written note is left letting the sitter know.
